This is an attempt to chart, in my own photographs, changes that have occurred in the former Soviet Union city of Balti, Moldova. Some of these pictures date back to 1993, and some are as recent as 2022.
Please note the two languages, Russian and Romanian, and how Soviet echoes coexist with the new western European influences. Try to guess which photos date back to the early 90's, and which are more recent.
The picture above is a memorial to the victims of Chernobyl.
