Three Short Videos From The Far East Of Russia Featuring Soviet-Era Art and Design

Here are three links to a trio of short videos that I made in 2015 as a way to feature a tiny sample of Soviet-era public art and design work. All these were filmed in the city of Komsomol Na Amur.

Art And The Fight. This one features images from the Soviet campaigns to rally and motivate citizens during World War II.

Gagarin Park. The cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin is a hero to Russians and former Soviet citizens alike. This Soviet-era park in Komsomol Na Amur features statues and a layout that typifies the design of many public spaces created during and briefly after that era.
